Kristin Coughlin, M.A., LPC:
I work wtih all ages from young children, teens, young adults to adults. I began my career focusing on children, using play therapy to help them express and process their experiences in a safe and supportive way. Over time, my training expanded to include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which has allowed me to work not only with children, but also with teens, young adults, and adults.
I especially enjoy supporting teens young adults, and adults, as they navigate the challenges and transitions that come with these stage of life. My approach integrates play therapy, EMDR, and IFS to create a personalized, compassionate space where clients of all ages can heal, grow, and build a deeper understanding of themselves.
I believe itβs so important for each of us to truly get to know our authentic selves β to understand who we are and why we show up in the world the way we do. So much of this comes from our personality and temperaments, and also our family systems: the patterns, roles, and dynamics that shaped us early on and continue to influence us today.
By exploring these patterns with curiosity and compassion, we can begin to recognize what is helping us and what may be holding us back. This deeper understanding of Self not only creates space for healing, but also allows us to move forward in more intentional, authentic ways.
